Even as they prayed for the wellbeing of injured firefighters, they worried about the fire’s impact on their neighborhood and their lives.Some business owners lost everything. Others will lose money because smoke from the fire has forced them to close temporarily.But beyond the financial toll is the loss of a historic building in a neighborhood noted for its older structures, said Marti Lee, executive director of the area’s business association. more
