"It's so refreshing to see real women on the catwalk," said one show-goer to the other leaving the Red Dress Collection, which features oodles of red designer dresses on celebrities to raise awareness of heart disease. If by real they meant a variety of shapes and sizes -- from cooking cutie Rachel Ray's petite figure (pictured, left) to Mae Jemison's well-rounded, womanly shape -- then I see the point. But I'd hardly say model Lauren Hutton looks like a real senior citizen or teensy talk show host Kelly Ripa a typical mother of three. But real is the big buzzword of the week, given the controversy surrounding too-skinny models last season.
